OUR BEGINNINGS
Eating Rainbow Garden Co-op started in March 2020 in response to the pandemic, as a commitment to grow nutritious produce for our community in need. ERGC is located in the backyard of 3 friends and housemates who have been helping the garden evolve since the humble beginnings. Our core group consists of plant-based friends with various skill sets they bring to the team, including farm/garden experience, woodworkers and artists. With their forces combined, they have found creative ways expand a dormant, neglected garden, to bring to life and expand it to be over twice the size. The garden is at least 2,800 sq feet and is on a 1 acre property that consists of many fruit trees as well--cherries, grapes, figs, pears, plums, and walnuts. Our grassroot efforts and offerings are entirely donation based, which allows the produce we grow to be distributed to a diverse group of people in our community. We believe that access to nutrient-rich food grown from our earth is a right that all humans deserve.
